  1. Know each student well
  2. Assist each student with participation in school
  3. Guide and monitor each student's learning progress
  4. Communicate regularly with families
with a number of structures and frameworks to help with these objectives.

Advisors help their advisees progress in three areas:
  1. Goal-Setting and Management
  2. Self in Community
  3. Self as Learner

  • Early introductory letter (with info on how to contact you)
  • Weekly updates (students can write, with advisor and parents receiving) (Keep it simple, but keep the communication channels open!)
